As a business focussed on publishing, Interline Publishing redefined the scope of publishing as including any content that is conceptual in scope and understood as intellectual property. With changing times, the understanding of what comprises intellectual property as well as the media by which it is disseminated has changed. As a result, it has become increasingly difficult to pinpoint the precise target audience and reach the created intellectual content to this audience .

Being the pioneer in understanding this changed scenario, Interline Publishing focussed its energies and facilities to meet the new demand in marketing and protecting the rights of the new generation intellectual content. As a singular success in recent times, Epiplex a software tool designed to understand processes in any Windows based software tools was re-launched as the world’s finest training tool. It is now being used by government bodies to train all their personnel in 10% of the conventional time at 10% of the cost compared to conventional modes of training. The developers of Epiplex software had never envisaged the use of their creation on these lines. Interline Publishing studied their product and took it to its logical audience. The current bouquet of software products being studied to make it reach a larger audience include Campus Dimensions, Ganati, Proxsys and Document management system.

Machayya, after his M.Sc in Zoology took time off to understand life. He joined Wiley Eastern in 1987 and founded Interline Publishing in 1992. He is a voracious reader and enjoys long distance running. A publisher by choice and passion, he lives in Bangalore with his wife, son and two dogs.
