M A Pai was on the faculty at IIT Kanpur from 1963-1981. He has been Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign since 1981. His research interests are Power System Dynamics, Stability and Control. He is a Fellow of the Indian National Science Academy.
