B Narayanappa has more than 30 years of teaching experience in both undergraduate and post graduate courses of Electronics and Communication Engineering. He has taught in various colleges including University Visweswaraya College of Engineering, Bangalore Institute of Technology, PES Institute of Technology, S J C Institute of Technology, K S Institute of Technology. He is currently working as Principal of East Point College of Engineering and Technology, Bangalore. As a long-standing member of IEEE he has earned the appreciation from the Communication Society of IEEE. He has been the member of Board of Studies and Chairman, Board of Examination (BOE) in Electronics and Communication Engineering of Bangalore University and also member of BOE in Electronics and Communication Engineering of VTU.

He has also been an active member of the curriculum development team for syllabus framing for Electronics and Communication Engineering. He is held in high esteem by the student community. He has authored several books both in English and Kannada.
