Dr. S. M. Murigendrappa is a Assistant Professor of Post Graduate Studies (Machine Design), Department of Mechanical Engineering, BMS College of Engineering, Bangalore. He received his B.E. (Mechanical Engineering) and M.Tech.(Maintenance Engineering) degrees from University of Mysore and Ph.D. (Design) from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Mumbai. He is actively engaged in teaching and research, and has published eight research papers in national and international journals. His area of research interests include vibration, FEM, smart materials and structures, and fracture mechanics.
