D P Sen Gupta has been a professor of Electrical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, since 1979. His main areas of specialisation are Dynamics and Control of Power Systems and Energy Problems in India. He has had research links with the University of Liverpool, Queen’s University, Belfast and Cavendish Laboratory, Cambridge.
