Dr. T.G. Sitharam B.E. (Mysore, 1983), M.Sc. (Engg) (IISc, 1986), Ph.D. (Waterloo, Canada, 1991), Post Doctoral Fellow and Research Engineer (University of Texas at Austin, USA, 1991-1994) is currently an Associate Professor in Department of Civil Engineering at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. He has more than two decades of active involvement in teaching, curriculum development, research, and consultancy. He has published more than 150 technical papers in International and National Journals and Conferences and acted as a consultant to several major projects. He has served as a Visiting Professor at University of Waterloo, Yamaguchi University, and Technical University of Nova Scotia. He is a recipient of many best paper awards, 1998 S. P. Research Award (SAARC) for the contribution in Geotechnical Engineering and Sir C.V.Raman Young Scientist State Award - 2002 in the field of  Engineering Science
