U.R.K Rao was trained in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. He was formerly additional professor in the department of Medicine, Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences, Hydrabad. He set up the Rheumatology Services at the same place. He presented several studies in rheumatology at national and international for a. Presently, he is a consultant rheumatologist of Sri Deepti Rheumatology Centre and Apollo Hospitals, Hydrabad. He lectures regularly at CME programmes around the country and is an active member of the Indian Rheumatology Association.
