Basic Thermodynamics is a text book to be covered in one semester consisting of 40 hours of lecture and 12 hours of problem solving sessions. Simple language and a large number of illustrations are used to explain the basic concepts and the laws of thermodynamics. The worked examples in each chapter demonstrate the applications of the principles and enable the reader to apply the same in solving real life problems.
